Moosey-Moose Visits the Butterflies

Howdy Friends!

Whew! That was close. I had to run real fast to get away from the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Good thing I exercise at home so I can run fast! Oh, I noticed that someone called the dinosaur a T-Rex. That sure is a lot easier to spell.

After the dinosaurs, I visited the butterfly exhibit.

I got real brave and sat super duper close to this one. Maybe you can tell me what kind it is.

In my next blog I'll show you some more pictures of butterflies eating. I need to go check on my birds. I hear them making noise. Maybe they're getting ready to eat!

Moosey-Moosey Visits Dinosaurs!

Howdy Friends,

You'll never guess what I did! OK, I'll tell you. I went to the Seattle Center and saw dinosaurs. They are so huge!
This is me between the toes of the Tyranosaurus Rex. I wonder what it's like to have toes.

YIKES!! He's going to gobble me up for a snack! Good thing I can run fast.

Next time, I'll show you some pictures of me with some smaller creatures. Can you guess what they are?

Moosey-Moose Feeds the Birds Again

Hi Friends,

Just my luck. I finally get the bird seeds into the new bird feeder and I even set up the hummingbird feeder, but then it rains for two days! I'm not going to sit in the rain to wait for the birds. That would make my fur yucky. But I promise to take pictures of the birds eating when it gets sunnier and warmer!

Moosey-Moose Feeds the Birds Again

Hi Friends,

I'm feeding the birds again!

This time I'm also going to set up some food for hummingbirds. They drink a sugary water solution. Looks like Kool-Aid but it's not. So DON'T drink it. It's not good for people!

This is the special hummingbird feeder with the sugary water in it. I think I did a good job especially because I didn't spill any on my white sweater!

Next I'm going to add bird seed to a new bird feeder.

Hmmm. It's hard to eat this way. Good thing there's a place for the birds to get their seeds on the bottom tray.

Well, I'm going to go watch the birds eat now.

Moosey-Moose Goes to the Movies In 3D

Hi Friends,

Yup! I'm at the movies again! I loooove going to the big movie theaters and munching on popcorn and drinking soda. I skipped the candy this time. You are probably wondering what movie I saw. I saw, Monsters vs. Aliens. I'm wearing the super cool sunglasses because the movie was in 3D. That's when the characters in the movie look like they're coming right off the screen and right at you. That's so cool! The movie was super funny, too. I laughed and laughed so hard my stomach ached. That was cool.

Moosey-Moose Has Two Messages For You

Hi Friends,

Sleepy Bear told me to tell all my friends that he's starting a new book for his book club. It's called A Visitor for Bear, by Bonny Becker and illustrated by Kady MacDonald Denton. He also wanted me to tell you to be sure to check his blog for more reading notes.

And... one more note before I hop on the plane to return to Seattle. I want to tell you about Kathleen's new book. She posted the first two chapters on her website. Moosey-Moose Goes to Los Angeles - Day 2

Hi Beach Buddies!

I'm having a great time at the beach.

This is a picture of Sleepy Bear and me. We were relaxing and watching the waves. It was late in the afternoon so the tide was starting to come in.

I had just enough time to start building a sand castle! I love the wet sand. It's fun to build things with it. Have you ever made a sand castle? The part that's not fun is cleaning all the sound out of my fur! Yuck!

Our friends, Scaredy Pup and Big Bear wanted to climb the volleyball net. Big Bear looks scared. Scaredy Pup is just above his head but you can't see him. That's funny! Scaredy Pup is higher than Big Bear and Big Bear is the one who is scared!

Well, I had a great time in Los Angeles. It's time for me to go back home. I'll write again this weekend.

WOW! It is so sunny here! I almost feel like I'm back in Cabo San Lucas. The people here are really nice. Later today we are going to the beach. Our friends from San Diego are supposed to meet us there. I can't wait.

I'm going to go walk around Santa Monica.
