Moosey-Moose Goes to France - A Two-Museum Day!

Hi Travel Buddies,

This is me with my new friend in Paris. I would see him every morning to have a short hot chocolate and a croissant. YUM!! Croissants are my new favorite food to eat.

After enjoying my morning snack like all good Parisians, I was ready to explore the streets of Paris.

This is a boat traveling up the famous river called the Seine. I rode on one at night. Paris is also called the City of Lights. And now I know why. I'll send you some photos so you can see for yourself. But now, back to my museum day.

This is me outside the Musee d'Orsay. This is the link to the museum's website: http://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/home.html.

This is inside of the Musee d'Orsay. It looks like an old fashioned train station! There are lots of small rooms inside this really big room. I got to see famous paintings by famous artists like Van Gogh (that's him with the museum sign), and Manet, and Degas. There are also lots of statues. Before I knew it, hours had gone by. Well, check out the website you so you can feel like you're there, too.
Have fun!
Next, I went to the Musee-Rodin. Auguste Rodin was a very famous sculptor. A sculptor is someone who makes statues. He's super famous for his statue called The Thinker. That's it behind me in this picture. See, I can think just like the statue. Super cool!
This is the link to the Musee-Rodin: http://www.musee-rodin.fr/welcome.htm. There's lots of interesting information.
I hope you're having fun traveling with me on my blog. If you have questions about the places I've visited, be sure to write to me and let me know where you're from. Maybe one day I can visit your city!
I gotta go now,

Moosey-Moose Goes to France - A Day at The Louvre

Hi Travel Buddies,

This is me outside of a very famous museum. It's called the Musee Du Louvre. That's French for The Louvre Museum.

If you're like me, you probably think museums are boring. Well, not anymore! This museum is the best place to hang out for hours and hours. I saw hundreds of paintings by famous artists.

This is me siting in front of one famous painting. Her name is Mona. Well, everyone else calls her Mona Lisa. She's very famous for her smile.

That probably explains why hundreds of people visit her every day! Good thing for me I arrived early to avoid some of the huge crowds.
This is me at the end of my visit at the Louvre. Good thing I ate my vegetables that day! Ok,I didn't really lift this pyramid. On the outside of the museum is a glass pyramid that is also the entrance to the museum. Inside the museum is the pyramid upside down! There was just enough room for me to sit between these two pyramids!
If you want to learn more about the Musee Du Louvre, here's the museum link: http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home.jsp?bmLocale=en. There are lots of fun activities for kids, too!
Be sure to check back later. I'll post more pictures of the streets of Paris so you can see what the city looks like, too.
Bye for now,
Moosey-Moose

Moosey-Moose Goes to France - Day 2

Bonjour, mes amies!

I'm having a tres bon good time. That means I'm having fun. Lots of .... Uh oh .... There's a flashing yellow light at the bottom of my computer screen. OH NO!! It's the battery light flashing! Wait, I brought the electric cord.

***

I'm back. This does not look good. The plug doesn't fit in the thing in the wall. It has different holes and the size is different and the battery light keeps flashing. I'm running out of battery juice. OK, real fast here. I have to finish blogging about my trip when I return on Sept....

Moosey-Moose Travels to France

Bonjour mes amies,
That's French for, "Hi, my friends." I've been brushing up on my French to get ready for this trip
This is me on the plane eating dinner. I had chicken, asparagus and mashed potatoes. For dessert I had a hot fudge sundae!

The flight was so long that I also got to eat breakfast. This time I ate mueseli, that's fancy granola, with yogurt.
About 8 hours later, I landed in Paris, France. This was my first stop - the Eiffel Tower.
Be sure to check back soon. Later I plan to visit a famous painting.
Au revoir, mes amies!

Moosey-Moose Eats Gelato at Bottega Italiana and Clue #10

Hi Travel Buddies,

I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it.

This is my last day to plan my trip. I'm catching my flight Wednesday morning, early.
I'm still hanging out at Bottega Italiana. I ate too much gelato so now I'm snacking on a croissant and strawberries.

I'm planning to eat A LOT of croissants when my plane lands in ... MOOPS! I almost told you where I'm going.

OK, gotta go finish packing my backpack, and maybe wash this t-shirt before I go.
Check back in a couple of days to find out where my plane lands and all the super cool places I visit!
Bye for now,
Moosey-Moose
P.S. - Here's your clue: The city where my plane lands is also where the famous painting called the Mona Lisa is hanging in a famous museum.

Moosey-Moose Eats Gelato at Bottega Italiana and Clue #9

Hi Travel Buddies,

I can't get enough of this gelato! It's the best!!

Today I'm going to eat the biggest waffle cone filled with more gelato and whippy cream! Shhh. Don't tell Sleepy Bear I'm eating all this whippy cream.

Chocolate and a French flavor called tiramisu. Yum! Yum!! Yum!!!

Planning my trip and eating gelato are two of my favorite things to do.
Here's my clue #9. Look at my travel book. What is the word on the cover hiding under my name tag? It's the name of a country.
I have to eat my gelato now before it melts.
Bye for now,
Moosey-Moose
