Moosey-Moose Revises His Book

Hi Friends,

I’m super busy working on my novel.  It’s about me and my adventures.  Well, one of my adventures.

Moosey-Moose Revises and Edits - 1

I finally finished the first manuscript.  That’s what a book is called before it becomes a book on a bookshelf.

Now I have to read it and make changes.  I like it just the way it is.

But Kathleen, my reading and writing teacher, says it needs work.  I would rather feed my birds and make more pine cone bird feeders.  But I also want to see my book on the shelf in a big bookstore. Kathleen said I have to do the work to get the reward. She’s super smart.

So, I’m busy busy at the computer.  I’ll keep you posted on my progress.  Some days it’s super slow going.  But some days I feel good about my story.

Bye for now,

Moosey-Moose Answers His Mail

Hi Friends,

I’ve been so busy with my pine cone bird feeders that I forgot to answer my mail!

But guess what?  The mail isn’t really for me.  It’s for my reading and writing teacher, Kathleen.  She used to teach in a school.  She taught kids in third and fourth grade. Some of them write to me and some of them ask me to give Kathleen a message, too.  Kathleen still teaches but she works from home.  She tutors kids. That means she teaches kids but not in a big classroom.  She works from home.  Kathleen also helps me write my book.  More about that later.

Back to mail for Kathleen.  Jahmara, Isau, Chalise and Zeena all wrote to her.  They really miss Kathleen at the school.  I would miss her, too! Kathleen says hello back and says to study hard and keep up the good work!

Oh, about my book.  I finished the first draft.  That means it is finished but I have to read it and make sure it makes sense and all the words are spelled right, especially the big ones!

Be sure to check back later.  I’ll tell you more about my book and about my bird feeders!

Bye for now,

Moosey-Moose Feeds the Birds!

Hi Friends,

Hanging Pine Cone Feeders - 1

Look at me!  I finally hung up my pine cone bird feeders!  These are pretty cool.

I hung each pine cone from a piece of string.  Then I hung it from the same hangy thing I used to hang my bird house.  That’s what I’m sitting on.

Hanging Pine Cone Feeders - 2

Then I got the super brilliant idea, because I’m always thinking, to hang a bunch of pine cones from one string!  I hung that onto another metal hook that is attached to the fence.

Good thing I like to climb and I’m not afraid of heights!

Now I have to sit and wait for the birds to eat their bird seed.  I wonder if they will eat the peanut butter, too?  I guess if they don’t I can add more bird seed!

Thanks to Mrs. A for giving me this super duper idea!

Bye for now,

Moosey-Moose Rolls Pine Cones in Bird Seed

Hi Friends,

Moosey-Moose Rolls Pine Cones in Bird Seed

I’m rolling the pine cones in the bird seed just like Kathleen’s friend told me to do.

Next, I’m supposed to tie some string on the pine cones then hang them outside.

I might need a ladder, too.  Kathleen can’t help me today because she’s feeling under the weather.  I think that means it’s cloudy outside and she doesn’t want to go out when it might rain.

Well, wish me luck!
