Moosey-Moosey Has a Snow Day!

Hi Friends,

I'm on our deck in our backyard. I'm going to try to make another snowman. But this time I have to do it all by myself because Kathleen has to go to work and Sleepy Bear wants to stay inside and read. So, wish me luck with my snowman!

Moosey-Moosey Has More Pictures from Victoria, Canada

Hi Friends,

I have a few pictures that I want to share with you from my visit to Victoria, Canada.

This is the Victoria Clipper boat that we sailed on to get to Victoria. It is called a catamaran boat because of the way it is designed. Underneath it has two sides and then space in the middle. Maybe you can do some research on catamaran boats. It was a really smooth ride!

This is a picture of me at the harbor in Victoria. One day I want to have a boat of my own to sail in.

And one last picture from Victoria. This is me in front of The Empress Hotel in Victoria, Canada. Pretty cool, huh!
Well, it's snowing today here in Seattle. Maybe I'll get to go outside and play in it.
Bye for now,

Moosey-Moose Back In Seattle

Hi Friends,

I'm back in Seattle and really missing my friends in Victoria. I hope to visit everyone at The Fairmont Empress Hotel again real soon. Maybe one day I can get a job working there.

But for now, I need to get back to doing stuff at home. Like, I need to write down some more post-it notes. My Auntie Francesca gave me some new words. Watch for them on my 'fridge in my next blog.

I also need to get caught up on Sleepy Bear's book club. Don't tell him I'm way behind in my reading. I think I'm only on chapter 3! Sssshhh... don't tell.

Bye for now,

Moosey-Moosey Has Coffee with Dillon at The Empress Hotel

Hi Friends,

Wow! This is the life! I can sure get used to this. I'm having coffee in the lounge at The Empress Hotel. Dillon is kind enough to poor coffee for me. Well, it's actually milk with a little bit of coffee because I'm not really supposed to have coffee. Sleepy Bear says it makes me bounce off the walls. Ssshhh... don't tell him. Dillon is from England. Maybe one day I'll go to England. He lived in a town called Ipswich. Hmmm ... sounds like sandwich. I wonder if I can get Dillon to bring me some of those neat little sandwiches without the crust.

I'm going to miss Victoria and everyone here at The Empress Hotel.

More later,

Moosey-Moose

Moosey-Moose Makes Friends at The Empress Hotel

Hi Friends,

Yesterday I met two kids from Vancouver, Canada. The boy's name was Russell and his sister's name was Margaret. They were both really nice to me. They like to read a lot so I told them about Sleepy Bear's book club. I hope they join!

All the people here are really nice. I got to meet Dillon, Duane, Michael, and Stephen. They work here. I think there is a lady named Emily but I have not met her yet. I bet she's nice, too.

Bye for now,

Moosey-Moosey Goes to High Tea at The Empress Hotel in Victoria

Hi Friends,

I bet Sleepy Bear already told you about us having high tea at The Empress Hotel. The food was very delicious - I just learned how to spell that word. Well, this is a picture of me eating the last chocolate dessert. It was a piece of chocolate with a creamy center and a chocolate cherry in the middle. I could have eaten a whole plate of those. But, I was lucky to eat just one. Sleepy Bear kept trying to steal mine. The restaurant is very fancy. Sleepy Bear thought I was being too messy. But I really tried to do my best to not make a mess.

I have to go now,

Moosey-Moose Goes to Victoria, Canada - Day 1

Hi Friends,
I'm traveling again! Yeah, it's so cool! I'm staying at The Fairmont Empress Hotel. It's super fancy. I have to be on my best behavior here. This is a picture of me in the hotel just before I started to munch on some pastries. The seagull on the outside thinks he's going to eat them! What a silly bird.
Yup, I'm reading The Penderwicks, too. It's a good book. I like the character Skye because she's funny and I think she's adventurous just like me.
I'm learning a lot of new words, too. Gagandeep asked me how many words I know. I haven't counted them, but I can add about 10 more to my fridge when I get home. Here are some from this book:
nigh on page 59
toreador on page 61
honorary on page 64
I can't wait to read your comments to me. I'll write back later today.
Bye for now,
Moosey-Moose

Moosey-Moosey Builds His Vocabulary - Day #2

Hi Friends,

OK, some of you blogged to me and told me that the post-it notes are supposed to go on my refrigerator. Of course, this makes a lot more sense! I was losing post-it notes all over the house because they kept falling off my sweater. I was looking very peculiar, too. That's one of my 'fridge words.

I need to go eat breakfast. I hope you have a fantastic day!

Moosey-Moosey Builds His Vocabulary

Hi Friends,

Your idea for writing new words on Post-It notes is super cool! I feel like a walking dictionary. Thanks for the fabulous idea. Now I want to go eat a parfait because I'm scorching. How's that for using big words?

Talk to you again,

Moosey-Moose

Moosey-Moose Checks His Mail

Hi Boys and Girls,

Thanks to everyone who has written to me! I think it's really cool that you write to me.

Well, those silly birds have not come by my bird feeder. Maybe I'm just not there at the right time. Sometimes I go outside on our deck to watch the birds by myself. But, sometimes, Kathleen will watch with me. Sleepy Bear stays inside because he is afraid one of the birds will land on his head!

Taylor wrote to me about Fancy Nancy Words! That's super cool! Maybe I can try write big words on a post-it note, too. Will that help build my vocabulary? Who is Fancy Nancy?

Gagandeep wants to know if I have ever been to Family Fun Center or to Chucky Cheese. I always like an adventure so maybe I will have to ask Kathleen to take me because I've never been. I will get back to you later about which one I like better.

I finished reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It was really funny! I like Greg because he likes to play jokes. I like to do that sometimes. But I have to be very careful so I don't hurt any one's feelings. Sleepy Bear does'nt like it when I play a joke on him.

I wonder what book he will choose next! I love reading now.

Today I'll watch for birds again. Oh, and I'll write down my Fancy Nancy words on post-it notes.

Have a great day!

Your friend,

Moosey-Moose
