This is a view from my car, traveling down a highway in France on my way to Le Mont-St.-Michel.
As you can see, there are lots of signs and arrows pointing in all directions! It's a good thing I didn't get lost.
Finally! The building I've been waiting for. This is Le Mont-Saint-Michel. It's an ancient church that goes back in history hundreds of years. All the way back to the year 708! Wow, that's old.
The big building in the center is the church. Well, they called it an abbey. Around the abbey is the village.
This is what the main street in the village looks like today. Lots' of little shops that sell souvenirs. And restaurants and hotels, too. Hundreds of years ago there were businesses, too. Except they sold mostly useful stuff, like pots, pans, yarn, and candles.
Tomorrow I will post more pictures of the the inside of the abbey. Here is one website that tells you more about Le Mont-Saint-Michel: http://www.linkparis.com/mont-st-michel-history.htm
Bye for now,
Moosey-Moose
