Hi Boys and Girls!

Guess what? I finally got to the movies this weekend! I am so excited to tell you about my adventure.

First I had dinner. Well, I ate french fries with lots of ketchup. Then I bought popcorn, candy, and a soda. I love going to the movies!!! I never eat fun food like that at home. Well, not that much. Ssshhh - don't tell Kathleen.

The movie I saw was Madagascar 2. It was really funny!

Moosey-Moose and Sleepy Bear Bake a Pie

Hi Guys and Gals,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Yesterday, Sleepy Bear and I baked a pie. We had help from Kathleen. Sleepy Bear thinks he's going to cut a really large slice for himself. I told him to share.

Oh, I tried to go to the movie the other day, but I missed the show so I had to come home. I'm going to try again today.

Hi Friends,

I walked to the bus stop. Luckily there was a schedule on the bus stop sign. I'm looking to find out which bus will take me downtown. I've never done this before. I hope I don't get lost.

Look at me! I'm taking your advice. I have Kathleen's umbrella and I'm going to catch a bus to the movies. Yippeee!! I am so excited. Maybe I will see High School Musical 3. But is that a movie that only girls will want to see? Is there a movie that I would like better? I guess I'll find out when I get to the theater.

What a rotten day. I couldn't leave the house today, again! Just when I was ready to walk out the front door, it started to rain. Maybe I should get an umbrella. Or, maybe I should take a taxi to the mall. I don't know what to do. I really want to see a movie. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Moosey-Moose Wants An Adventure

Well, I didn't get to go to the movies today. I am really bummed about that. I thought for sure I would get to go. But, I didn't have any way of getting there. So, I'm going to take the bus to Seattle. But first I have to figure out the bus schedule. I'll walk to the mall tomorrow to get a schedule. Wish me luck!

Oh, I almost forgot. I have to find out what movies are showing. I will look in the newspaper tomorrow.

Moosey-Moose Wants an Adventure

Howdy!

I helped Sleepy Bear make his brownies and I helped him eat them, too. They're really good. But I didn't eat as many as Sleepy Bear. He's not feeling too good now. I learned my lesson when I ate too much ice cream!

But now I want to go somewhere. Maybe I'll go to a movie today. The weather is perfect for staying inside. I don't like it when my fur gets wet. It's kind of icky!

Moosey-Moose Makes Pancakes - Part 2

Howdy!

That was my first time making pancakes. Did you see the huge griddle I got to use? It's like a really big fry pan only you plug it in and it sits on the counter and not on the stove. Pretty fancy, huh?

I've been reading The Tiger Rising. I think I'm getting better at reading. Sleepy Bear helps me sometimes.

I didn't get to do too much today. It rained a lot outside. So, I stayed inside and read and took naps and sometimes I bothered Sleepy Bear. He's talking about making brownies, still! I wish he would stop talking about them and just make them. I'm hungry.

Moosey-Moose Makes Pancakes

Hi!

Guess what I did this morning? I made Kathleen blueberry pancakes for breakfast!!

I did everything all by myself. Well, almost all by myself. Kathleen got the griddle all ready for me. But I mixed the batter and scooped the batter onto the griddle and I dropped the blueberries on top of the pancakes and I flipped the pancakes over with a really big spatula, it's kind of like a pooper scooper but it's flat; and then I watched them and I watched them and then they were ready to flip onto a plate!!! Whew! I'm exhausted now. Oh, then I poured maple syrup over the top of them. YUUUUMMMMMYYYY!!

Moosey-Moose Has Blog Advice

Howdy!

Woo whoo!!! We have the day off from school!!! I'm gonna play all day. How about you?

But, first I want to remind you about safety when you use the computer. Well, we know from my adventure that you should never buy anything on the computer unless an adult at home helps you and says it is OK.

But when you blog it is very important to follow these three rules:

1. Never tell your last name to anyone.

2. Never tell your phone number to anyone.

3. Never tell your address to anyone.

Sleepy Bear is going to remind kids about these 3 rules, too. We both want you to use the computer safely. If you have questions, you can ask me or you can ask an adult who lives with you.

Just Another Day for Moosey-Moose - Part 2

Hi Guys and Gals,

Kathleen told me that she calls her students that sometimes. I think that is funny! She just calls me Moosey-Moose.

Tomorrow I am going to make blueberry pancakes for Kathleen. That is her favorite. I like to put some lemon juice in the pancake batter. Have you ever tried that? You should. It's Yuuummmy!!!!

Today for breakfast I had granola and yogurt and fresh fruit. It was pretty good. But I got yogurt in my fur. What a mess that was!!!

I am all caught up with my reading. Whew! That was a lot of words. I don't know how Sleepy Bear does that all the time. He is always reading something. Everywhere we go he has a book with him.

Just Another Day for Moosey-Moose

Hi!

Well, Kathleen said she forgives me for shopping on the computer. I sure learned my lesson. I am going to ask first before I buy anything for now on. I was feeling horrible for a long time.

I didn't do very much this weekend. It rained a lot at my house. I splashed around in the puddles and mud in my backyard. Kathleen did not like that when I came back into the house and walked all over the carpet. I kind of made a big mess.

I have to go read my book now. Are you in Sleepy Bear's book club. Yeah, I decided to join. I have to get really good at reading.

Moosey-Moose Goes Shopping On the Comptuer - Day 6

Hi,

This morning I woke up feeling very blue. I have never felt so sad before.
Kathleen asked me why I was crying. I told her I bought everything because I wanted everyone to have nice presents for the holidays.
Kathleen said that giving is not about the object from the store. She said it is the thought that counts. I told her about the present I bought for her.
She told me for her present all she wants is for me to read to her.
So, I need to practice and read every day so I get really good.
Well, that’s all for now. I’m going to go read chapter 3 in The Tiger Rising. I want to do my best for my present for Kathleen.

Moosey-Moose Goes Shopping With The Computer! Day 5

Hi Boys and Girls,

Well, guess what happened today. My packages finally arrived. And, I learned what C.O.D. means.

Cash On Delivery!

I didn’t have any cash so I had to ask Kathleen to help me. She was not happy when she found out what I did.

Kathleen said we would have to send everything back. I told her I bought gifts for everyone in our family. I bought a bike for my niece, Kalea. I bought a new computer for my Uncle Michael. I even bought presents for Sleepy Bear, Scaredy Pup and Bear, too!

Kathleen said I would have to return the presents because we don't have the money to pay for everything. I really wanted her to have the present I bought for her. She said, “No."

I feel really bad. I know I didn't have the money to buy these things but I thought it would be OK because they were presents.

This has been a rotten day. I'm going to go to bed now.

Moosey-Moose Goes Shopping With The Computer! Day 4

Hi! It's me again.

I'm still waiting for my packages.

Ms. Jenell, thank you for worrying about me. Nope.

I don't have a bank account. I have a piggy bank. Is that the same thing? I don't have very much in it. I won't tell you how much I have. Kathleen says it is not polite to brag about how much money I have. It only makes a little bit of noise when I shake it.

So, I have nothing else to do but wait for my packages. Wait. Wait. And wait some more. I'm glad I joined Sleepy Bear's book club to help me pass the time. I guess it's ok. I don't read that much. I don't understand the story. I hope my friends will help me.

Zeena, thank you for telling me about how cold it will be tonight. Lucky for me, I have fur! But, I will get a blanket for Kathleen. OK, I'll get two. I will tell her it was your idea. That will make her happy. You are very kind.

I did not vote today. I am not old enough. You have to be 18 years old. I have a lot of years to wait.

I am going to read chapter 2 in The Tiger Rising. I want to be a good reader like Sleepy Bear.

I can't wait to read your comments again.

Moosey-Moose and the Stormy Weather

Hi Boys and Girls,

Wow! That was a huge storm last night. Even I was scared and I don't get scared that often. At my house the wind was blowing and it was raining cats and dogs. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw shadows moving on my bedroom walls. I was really scared at first. Then I opened my eyes more and noticed it was the shadows from the trees blowing outside.

I am hoping my packages arrive today. Every day I sit in front of the door. Waiting. Waiting. And waiting some more. I know now I should have asked for permission before I shopped on the computer. I hope the delivery man takes everything back.

Today I will read the first chapter for Sleepy Bear's book club. Did you do your homework?

I'm still waiting for my packages to arrive. I am really feeling scared about how much money I spent. I should have asked first.

I wonder what Kathleen will say when all the boxes arrive. Maybe I will answer the door first and I can tell the delivery man to take everything back. Well, everything except the gift I bought for Kathleen. I hope she likes it.

I wish I were in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico right now. Maybe one day I will go back to visit. But for now, I'm stuck here waiting for expensive packages to be delivered.

Hi,

It's me again.

What a miserable day. I have been waiting by the door for hours. I'm scared I made a really big mistake.

I should never have gone shopping on the computer. I bought one present for someone very special. So that might be OK. But most of the stuff was for me. I was selfish to do that.

I will ask Sleepy Bear when he plans to start his book club. He has been on the phone for hours! I wonder who he is talking to.

Oh, I learned one or two works in Spanish when I was in Cabo. But, I am not very good at speaking Spanish.

I'm not doing so great today. I'm worried about all the stuff I bought on the computer. I didn't have to pay for anything - yet. The stores said I could pay when everything was delivered to my house. I don't know what to do now.

Maybe I will join Sleepy Bear's book club. Then, I won't spend so much time doing things I should not do.
